It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our longtime friend, and Museum Executive Board member, Virginia "Ginny" Richmond. Ginny passed away after a short illness.
Ginny has been a member of the Museum's Board since its founding in 1984.
She was Museum President from 2000 to 2011. She and her late husband Howard "Doc" Richmond lead the moving and restoration of the Henderson House and turning it into the Museum.
The main exhibit gallery was re-named for Virginia and Howard Richmond in 2012, in recognition of the work they performed to create the Museum. Ginny was made an Honorary Trustee of the Museum in September 2020.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 4 to 7 pm at Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road Oakhurst, NJ 07755. A funeral service will be held on April 14, 2023 at 11:00 am at Fiore's, followed by burial at Glenwood Cemetary, West Long Branch.
