Bell introduced the use of wax-coated cardboard cylinders to record and play sound. These cylinders were the precursors to vinyl records, cassette tapes, compact discs, and other digital recording formatsMore.

Historic Happenings Blog Shut Down

Sadly, changes by Google to their system have caused our Historic Happenings Blog to be shut down.  Google has decided that posts scheduled in the future will no longer be shown on their Blogger/Blogspot site until that date and time arrives.  Posts that already exist in the future exist and will remain posted on our blog. We just cannot add to it.

We are looking for a new home for the blog and will let you know when one is found.  Anyone who has an idea where to post events, please let us know, as your ideas are always welcome.
