Thank you for a spectacular year!

As we reflect on 2023, there is so much to celebrate as we head into the new year

• Beginnings: Ocean Township’s First People, opened to rave reviews in September, and continues at the Museum in 2024.

• We welcomed guests from near and far to our museum and to our annual events: the 2023 Spring Tea, four (4) of our Speaker Event Programs, our Annual Gold Sale, our Annual Doll Clothes Sale, and our 2023 Holiday Open House.

• We once again hosted the Annual Township Tree lighting in partnership with the Township of Ocean Community Celebrations Committee, Township of Ocean, and The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce.

• We look forward to the return of our annual American Doll Tea in 2024.

We look forward to celebrating the Museum's 40th anniversary, the 15th Anniversary of the Eden Woolley House being restored, and the 175th birthday of the Township of Ocean, with you in 2024!

The Township of Ocean Historical Museum, founded in 1984, is a member-supported, 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated under the laws of the State of New Jersey. Its headquarters, the Eden Woolley House, is one of the few 18th-century structures still in existence in the Township. The museum serves as the ancestral home to every citizen of the Township of Ocean. The Museum is open on Thursday Evenings, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (March thru November), and Sunday afternoons, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, or request a tour anytime by Calling 732-531-2136 or e-mailing at OceanMuseum@yahoo.com. We will be adding days in the future and will continue to keep you advised. The Township of Ocean Historical Museum offers exhibits on the history of coastal Monmouth County and a full calendar of events. The Museum is also 100% volunteer supported, with no paid staff. The Museum maintains a library and archive, which houses manuscripts, books and photographs of historical and genealogical interest.
