The Eden Woolley House, circa 1747, is one of the few 18th Century Homes surviving in Ocean Township. It was saved from destruction in 2005 and moved 1,000 feet east to its present location in Joe Palaia Park. It has been historically restored and open to the public to tell the story of Ocean Township and its surrounding communities.

2017-07-29 - Remembering Our World War I Veterans Flag Ceremony
April 6 marks the
100th anniversary of this country’s entry into The Great War, as it was called
at the time. Though largely forgotten, New Jersey’s role in the war—before,
during, and after official U.S. participation—was both critical and fascinating.
Events are planned throughout the state to tell the story—including a major
exhibit at the Eden Woolley House.
Please join us at
6:30, July 29, on the grounds of the Eden Woolley House to raise the flag in
memory of the men and women who served in the First World War (1914-1918; for
The Woolley House will be open on the
evening of Saturday July, 29, 2017. We will have a flag ceremony and remembrance
to those veterans who served. The Museum will be open for those attending to
come in and see our current exhibits.

veterans, but we welcome all who wish to be remembered.
Township of Ocean Historical Museum, founded in 1984, is a member-supported, 501
(c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated under the laws of the State of New
Jersey. Its headquarters, the Eden Woolley House, is one of the few 18th century
structures still in existence in the Township and is open to the public on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.), Thursday Evenings (7 p.m.
to 9 p.m. March 15 through December 15) and the first and second Sundays of each
month (1p.m. to 4 p.m.). The Township of Ocean Historical Museum offers exhibits
on the history of coastal Monmouth County and a full calendar of events. The
Museum is also 100% volunteer supported, with no paid staff. The Museum
maintains a library and archive, which houses manuscripts, books and photographs
